CAMPAIGN: Fanm Yo La: Women Transforming Haiti

At UNIR-Haïti, Fanm Yo La (women matter too) is a platform that amplifies and strengthens the leadership of Haitian women, reaffirming their transformative role in society. This initiative dignifies their rightful place in building a better future for Haiti, boldly declaring: “We, the Women, Are Here.” This name serves both as an affirmation of their active presence and a call for society to listen to and recognize the invaluable contributions of women throughout the country.

How can you be part of this change?

  • The Fanm Yo La Scholarship: With your support, six women will have the opportunity to complete their university studies by receiving a scholarship that includes:
    • A monthly stipend to cover their basic needs.
    • Access to a residence equipped with electricity and reliable lighting, essential resources for studying in the challenging context of Haiti.
    • Academic mentorship to help them write and defend their undergraduate theses, empowering them to become professionals ready to lead change in their communities
  • The First Feminist Political Training Summit: Over 20 young Haitian women will have the opportunity to participate in this groundbreaking event, designed to inspire, train, and strengthen leadership in an environment where such opportunities are critically needed.

In a country deeply affected by insecurity, these initiatives are a beac of hope.

CAMPAIGN: Water , Vegetables & Education for La Salinière: Giving 250 Children a Future

At Itinerant University of Resistanc-Haïti, we believe that every child deserves access to clean water, nutritious food, and quality education while preserving our environment. In La Salinière in the South-East departement in Haiti, a small but determined team has built a school against all odds. "Since 2013, we have been dedicated to shaping young minds, fostering innovation, and ensuring that every child—no matter their background—has access to a bright future through education."

Now, they need your support to ensure that 250 children can learn, grow, and thrive in a safe and sustainable environment. How can you be part of this change?

  • Access to Clean Water: With only a small rainwater cistern, the school runs out of water for months at a time, forcing children to buy plastic water bags, an environmental and financial burden. Your support will help build a larger cistern, ensuring safe drinking water for students and the entire community year-round.
  • Nutritious Meals for Learning: Many children arrive at school hungry, struggling to focus on their lessons. Their only meal is often a simple plate of rice and beans. With your support, the community will plant and grow vegetables like spinach and peas, ensuring a sustainable source of fresh, nutritious food for the children. These vegetables will provide essential vitamins and nutrients for healthy growth and brain development, helping students stay focused and thrive in school.
  • School Materials & Learning Resources: A school is more than just walls—it should be a place of inspiration and possibility. Yet, there are almost no books, toys, or educational tools for young students. Early childhood development depends on stimulating play and interactive learning, and without these, children miss out on crucial cognitive and emotional growth. Your support can help equip classrooms with the materials children need to thrive.

Blueprint for Hope
